Tipco Punch is pleased to announce the availability of in die tapping units through Automated Tapping Systems (ATS) of Brick, NJ. ATS has manufactured in-die tapping systems for 25 years and embraces its role as industry leader through design, quality and engineering expertise. ATS’ product range allows end users a tapping range of 2-56 to 1-1/4"-12 or metric equivalent. Additionally, ATS can provide tapping heads for multi-spindle hole patterns as well as standard single spindle units in both mechanical or servo driven units.

In-die tapping units can dramatically reduce cost per tapped hole by
eliminating the need for a secondary tapping machine, eliminating labor
associated with secondary tapping and improved cycle time (ATS units have
run up to 250 strokes per minute).
